Frequently asked questions
Do you prescribe medications?
No. Because Georgia is not a licensed naturopathic state, I do not prescribe medications. Instead, I focus on education, lifestyle guidance, nutrition, and natural strategies that support your body’s healing. If prescription medication is needed, I encourage you to work with your primary care physician or specialist.
How many visits will I need?
Every person’s journey is different. Some people feel clear and supported after one session, while others benefit from ongoing consultations. During your Discovery Call, we’ll discuss what feels realistic for you
What’s the difference between a naturopathic doctor and a medical doctor?
Naturopathic doctors (NDs) complete a four-year, accredited doctoral program that includes basic sciences, clinical sciences, and naturopathic modalities such as nutrition, botanical medicine, physical medicine, and mind-body therapies. Medical doctors (MDs/DOs) complete conventional medical school with a focus on pharmaceuticals and surgery. I bring a holistic perspective that emphasizes root-cause exploration and natural, supportive therapies.
Can you diagnose my condition?
In Georgia, I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. My role is to help you understand your body, educate you on what your lab results might mean, and offer practical guidance to support wellness. I encourage all clients to maintain a relationship with a licensed primary care provider for diagnosis and urgent medical needs.
Do you accept insurance?
No, consultations are private pay only. However, some clients use HSA or FSA funds for naturopathic services. Check with your plan administrator to see if this applies to you.
Are consultations in person or virtual?
All consultations are virtual, which means you can meet with me from the comfort of your home. This also makes it easier to fit care into your busy schedule.
Who do you work with?
I primarily support women who are:
Preparing for pregnancy and looking for fertility support
Navigating postpartum recovery (including cesarean healing)
Seeking everyday vitality, help with digestion, cycles, energy, and more
I also work with any individuals with chronic disease. Please schedule your Discovery Call to see if working with me is the right step for you.
What should I expect during a consultation?
We’ll begin by exploring your health story in detail - symptoms, habits, lab results, and goals. You’ll receive education, clarity, and practical next steps. Afterward, I’ll provide a written summary so you can focus on listening during our visit.
Can you order labs for me?
In Arizona (where I am licensed), naturopathic doctors can order labs. Outside of licensed states, I cannot order them directly. However, I can review your existing lab results, help you understand what they mean, and suggest labs you may want to request from your primary care provider. There are basic labs and functional labs that can be ordered through Rupa Health.
Is this a doctor–patient relationship?
Virtual consultations with me are educational and supportive, but they do not establish a physician–patient relationship outside of Arizona. I encourage you to maintain care with a licensed medical provider for diagnosis, prescriptions, and emergencies.
